Artisanal woodworking – Institut québécois d’ébénisterie

The Diploma of College Studies (DÉC) Techniques de métiers d’art – Artisanal Woodworking option allows students to specialize in woodworking, from design to manufacturing. Students learn to create original works—unique pieces or small series—by exploring the properties of solid wood and wood-based materials.

The training in Artisanal Woodworking emphasizes mastery of technique, creativity, and understanding of the market. Students develop a comprehensive practice, combining design, manufacturing, finishing, and distribution of objects of expression or production.

This program trains artisans to design, manufacture, or restore furniture and functional or artistic objects, while integrating the contemporary realities of the profession.
