École de joaillerie de Montréal

The École de joaillerie de Montréal’s mission is to ensure the dissemination of knowledge, expertise and values specific to the world of jewellery as an art form to its diverse audiences. Founded in 1973, the first jewelry workshop-school in Quebec was created when two jewellers, Madeleine Dansereau and Armand Brochard, joined forces to create a vibrant, distinct and unique training centre.

About
the school

The ÉJM’s includes a basic jewelry techniques program, a lapidary art program, as well as some 100 advanced courses per year. Since 1989, it has offered the jewelry option of the DEC Techniques de métiers d’art in collaboration with the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. Finally, in order to support the professional community and its students, the School makes its workshops and equipment accessible: bench and equipment rentals, free workshops for school work, technical assistance, information and advice, research projects, special projects, scholarships and a documentation center.
