École d’ébénisterie d’art de Montréal

Interweaving arts and craft, design and visual arts, fine woodworking is so much more than that. The École d’ébénisterie d’art de Montréal (ÉÉAM) is a woodworking studio-school specialising in training wood artists. Offered for more than 30 years in Montréal, the technical college education in applied arts and crafts – fine woodworking discipline – is given by the ÉÉAM in collaboration with the Cégep du Vieux Montréal.

About
the school

The École d’ébénisterie d’art de Montréal is a place where tradition and innovation meet to foster creativity and know-how. On top of its quality technical education based on traditional know-how, the ÉÉAM focus on creation, design and conceptual development in order to provide a balanced program on both artistic and technical perspectives; inspired by tradition, yet defined by a contemporary approach.

Dedicated to the training and development of fine woodworking artists, the ÉÉAM provides a warm, open and stimulating learning environment. The teachers, professionally active, ensure attentive and personalized support. With a minimum duration of three years, the training allows a step-by-step learning of the entire process: design, fabrication, marketing and/or exhibition.
