The Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec is a prestigious institution for higher education in the performing arts. It is constituted of nine schools specializing in music and drama, established in seven cities: Gatineau, Montreal, Quebec, Rimouski, Saguenay, Trois-Rivières and Val-d’Or.

Founded in 1942, it alone ensures the training of an impressive number of Quebec artists who measure themselves against the best in the world. With its high-caliber teaching staff in music and drama, the Conservatoire identifies, supports and promotes young talents from across Quebec and elsewhere.

The Conservatoire is a state initiative that offers music training programs ranging from elementary to graduate school, fostering a highly personalized training continuum. In dramatic art, the Conservatoire provides training for performers, directors and designers. It also offers actors the skills development for theater, cinema and television.

The nine establishments that form the Conservatoire are located at the heart of the educational, cultural and economic life of the regions where they are established. They offer some of the richest and most stimulating living and study environments.
