Maison des métiers d’art de Québec + Institut d’ébénisterie de Québec

The Maison des métiers d’art de Québec (MMAQ) and the Institut québécois d’ébénisterie (IQÉ) are two cultural organizations in Quebec City dedicated to Fine Craft Arts.

About

In partnership with Cégep Limoilou, the MMAQ and IQÉ offer technical courses in four options of the higher education program in Fine Craft Arts. Three options for the Diploma of College Studies (Diplôme d’études collégiales – DÉC) Techniques de métiers d’art (Fine Crafts Techniques) are available with the MMAQ: Ceramics, Textile Construction, and Sculpture, while the Artisanal Woodworking option is offered by the IQÉ.

The three-year college programs offered by these workshop schools combine traditional craft techniques with a bold contemporary approach. Students learn to develop their technique, their signature style, and their future craft. Small series, big ideas, and originality are valued.
